	To be honest I wish I had written this review a lot earlier. We had our wedding at this venue last year and although our whole day ran quite smoothly we had many problems with Great Wyrley football club as I will explain. In December before our February wedding, I went to a different event at Great Wyrley football club and my designer BENCH coat was stolen. I asked the owner and he said that one of the ladies sitting with me and my friend might have taken it by accident, although upset at the loss of my coat I didn't think too much of it. On our wedding day we arrived for our reception and after speeches were served our champagne, sorry I mean cava with towels round the bottles. We had paid I think £1 extra per glass to have proper champagne but the owner Steve obviously thought he could fleece us as we wouldn't notice. My new husband and I had only just had a proper glass of champagne in our wedding car so we noticed straight away and one of the ladies serving at the reception let the towel slip so we saw it was cava. we didn't let it spoil our day and thought we would complain after our honeymoon, which indeed we did and managed to get a refund of the £55 owed. If we hadn't of complained we weren't going to see that again. Now onto the meals, awful tough beef and the worst watery gravy, what appeared to be tinned veg and it was all stone cold. This is not the end of it. Towards the end of the evening my husband was quite drunk and Steve kindly helped to escort him to the loo. We left in a taxi to go to a hotel for the night and upon getting in the taxi my husband realised that his wallet was missing and we had lost £160 and my hubbies driving license. Common denominator - who gave me and my friend lots of shots on our ladies night when my coat went missing, who escorted my new husband to the loo and his wallet went missing and who had the brass neck to serve cava and try and pass it off as champagne? BE WARNED. I do not like to call anyone a theif and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but if you happen to go to this venue be warey and watch out as you may also come out without your wallet or coat or get ripped off on drinks etc. I just hope my review helps so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. It was the only thing that tarnished our wedding day.
